Why did I get a late fee?
Last updated October 29, 2024
To keep your PadSplit experience smooth and cost-effective, it's crucial to maintain a $0 balance by the end of your Dues Day.
Late Fee Policy
- A $25* late fee applies if you carry a balance after 11:59 PM EST on your Dues Day
- Example: For a Friday Dues Day, you're billed Wednesday. Full payment of your entire balance is due by 11:59 PM EST Friday to avoid a late fee.
Tips for avoiding late fees
- Prioritize housing over other expenditures by paying your PadSplit bill before making other purchases
-
Turn on autopay
- Pay when you are billed in advance of your Dues Day
Make Your Housing a Top Priority
Your PadSplit home is more than just a place to live—it's the foundation for your success and stability.
Here's why keeping your payments on track is crucial:
- Avoid Costly Late Fees: Paying on time helps you avoid additional charges that can add up quickly
