How to Apply for PadSplit Membership

What are the approval criteria for Membership?

At PadSplit, we're building a community of kind, independent, and respectful individuals who are open to living in a shared community. We're excited that you're considering joining us! 

The information that we collect during the application process is used to determine your eligibility for Membership at PadSplit. An applicant should meet the following criteria in order to be offered Membership.

  1. Age: 18 or older
  2. Background Check: Applicants may undergo a national level criminal background screening. Applicants with felony convictions in the last 7 years may be barred from Membership.
  3. Rental History: We review past rental experiences. Applicants with more than one eviction in the last 7 years may be barred from Membership.
  4. Identity Verification: We use a third-party provider to confirm your identity. Applicants will need to have a valid government ID.
  5. Financial Responsibility: We'll need proof of income or upfront payment of dues. For details, see PadSplit's income requirements here.
  6. Credit History: While your credit will not impact your approval, we may review it. Note: A credit freeze may affect your application. See more information on our credit pull here

After Approval Once you're a PadSplit Member, you can view and request bookings on our platform. Keep in mind:

Our Commitment to Integrity We take fraud prevention seriously to protect our community. As a part of our application process we rely on a variety of measures to verify the identities of applicants. PadSplit reserves the right to ban, terminate, or deny applicants/members if we identify indications of fraud or deception.
