Can I cancel my move-in?

Adjusting Your PadSplit Plans

We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to modify your move-in:

  • You can manage your booking through your Member Dashboard. Cancellations must be made using the Cancel Move-in button.
  • Our refund policy is time-sensitive to ensure fairness for all Members and Hosts. Please refer to the chart below for specific refund details based on timing.
  • Processing time for any applicable refunds is typically one week.

Remember, we're here to support your housing journey. If you're considering changes to your move-in, feel free to reach out to our team. We may be able to offer alternatives or address any concerns you have about your upcoming move.

On Move-in Day

At PadSplit, we understand that sometimes a home might not meet your expectations on move-in day. That's why we offer you the flexibility to transfer to a different home within our extensive network with your first move completely free. Before considering a cancellation, we encourage you to explore our other available rooms. This unique option empowers you to find a living situation that better suits your needs, without the usual hassles and costs of relocating.

Cancellation Made Refund Available
1-48 hours after booking and before 8:00pm EST on the day before move-in Full refund (prepaid dues + move-in fee). However, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.
48+ hours after booking through 8:00pm EST on the day before move-in Only prepaid dues refunded (move-in fee is non-refundable and you will be charged the entire move-in fee if you previously selected a payment plan.)
After 8:00pm EST on the day before move-in through move-in day

No refund available (move-in fee is non-refundable and you will be charged the entire move-in fee if you previously selected a payment plan) (1st week's dues are non-refundable).

If you do not wish to move-in, you must a) Transfer to a new PadSplit (remaining 1st week's dues will be applied to the new home), or b) schedule a move-out date

If you do not initiate a transfer or schedule a move-out, your billing cycle will continue for the original booking.

Members who believe that the quality of their PadSplit room was not as advertised or up to specification may request a refund.
