Room Standards for the PadSplit Platform

Last updated May 7, 2024

At PadSplit we are problem-solvers, looking to solve the affordable housing crisis – one room at a time. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to access safe, clean housing options.

Rooms placed on the PadSplit Platform must meet all applicable safety codes as well as HUD guidelines including but not limited to:

  • Smoke Detectors in every room
  • Room size equal to or greater than 80 sq ft with a minimum wall length of 7’
  • 2 points of egress for every room

If these safety guidelines are not followed, PadSplit reserves the right to transfer Members, deactivate rooms, withhold Member dues, or remove the property from our platform. Moreover, PadSplit cannot be held responsible for any harm to a resident or other 3rd party that results from this issue based on the assurances provided by you under the terms of your lease and the terms and conditions of listing your room on www.padsplit.com.
